How does massage work?

Did you know………a hard training or exercise session produces tiny microscopic tears in the muscle fibres which, when repaired, make the muscles bigger and stronger?  This is good!

However, if the breakdown of muscle fibres happens more rapidly than the build up, injuries occur. Not so good! This is one of the reasons why rest and recovery between hard training sessions is vital - easy days are good for you!
